The source material is recognizable only in fragments — because recognition isn't the point.

Hollywood signage, vintage motorsport steel, sun-bleached stucco, a mid-century glamour figure — each photograph is fractured until its textures, colors, and geometries behave like brushstrokes. The hot yellow of a racing body becomes a painted field, graffiti clouds become gestural marks, torn layers of competing imagery create the depth and accident that oil paint achieves through physical buildup.

On HD metal at 40x40 inches, the reflective substrate adds what canvas never could — a shifting luminosity that changes with the viewer's angle, making the surface itself an active element in the composition. The photograph disappears. The painting arrives.
