15. Hello Los Angeles

You've seen all of this before. You've never seen it like this.

Familiar made foreign, a city you already know, reconstructed at a frequency you don't recognize.

The signage is readable. The architecture is placeable. The sunset is real. None of it helps. The montage takes everything identifiable about this place and compresses it until recognition becomes a feeling instead of a fact. You know where you are. You just can't prove it with any single frame.

The piece works the way a song works when you hear it playing from another room... you catch pieces, you fill in the rest from memory, and what your mind builds is more vivid than what was actually playing.

On Chromaluxe metal at 24x36 inches, the warm tones pull forward and the darks fall away, giving the surface a depth that keeps shifting the longer you look.
