The words are the first thing you see. Not as a title, but as a surface, built into the composition the same way color and texture are.
Collapsing the boundary between photographic image and painted object.
Around it, photographic fragments lose their origin. Classical figuration, architectural interiors, ceramic surfaces, and street-level pattern work are montaged until they surrender their documentary identity and become color, form, and texture on a surface.
The composition follows the logic of painting, not photography, spatial relationships are determined by visual weight and chromatic tension rather than perspective or narrative.
At 40x40 inches on metal with a gallery canvas mount, the scale forces the viewer to engage with it as they would a painting: standing back to take in the whole, moving closer to read the surface.
